On the agricultural market, like any other market, there are transaction costs. One of the ways to reduce the costs is a more effective organization of the commodity market and the use of information technologies.
The project on creation of the Electronic commodity market system is described in the article. The aim of the project is to reduce costs of market transactions, without displacing of the market relations.
Initially the project was designed primarily for the agricultural market. But the developed technology and organizational and legal structure will allow to use the project for other sectors of the commodity market, both in Russia and the EU countries.
Electronic commodity market system is developed on the basis of the system approach methodology, in particular the Synergetics and Cybernetics, as well as Neo-Institutionalism.
